Jacqueline “Jacque” Fedders, recently of Port Washington, passed away on the morning of Sunday, Feb. 1, 2026.
She was born Nov. 25, 1936, to Edward and Myrtle Von Gonten, of Racine. Jacque was many things, including a fantastic gardener, hostess and card player.
On June 23, 1956, she was married to her first and only sweetheart, Harlan Fedders.
Jacque and Harlan built a wonderful life together, raising their three daughters in Racine and later relocating full-time to their home on Legend Lake.
Jacque worked for the Racine Unified School District for decades and took great pride in her administrative work supporting students and their families. It is no doubt that if you were a child in one of her elementary schools, your life was made better by the presence of Mrs. Fedders.
When Harlan experienced an early medical retirement, the couple started a new chapter on Legend Lake. They golfed, coordinated tie-ups and made countless friends. Jacque was deeply rooted in the community. She was a commissioner for LLPRD, served as treasurer of the social committee, worked to establish the garden club and brought endless energy to her local Red Hat Society Chapter.
In 2024, Jacque moved to Port Washington to be closer to family.
Family and friends were Jacque’s favorite things in life. She was funny and loving and charming, and she will be deeply missed.
In lieu of gifts, the family asks that you donate to a local food pantry, plant beautiful flowers and play cards with your friends in her honor.
Jacque is survived by her children, Deborah (Gregg) Mandli, of Raymond, Kristin (Ken) Poulson, of Port Washington, and Lori (Tom) Wiley of Lovington, Illinois; her grandchildren, Zachary Mandli, Brett Mandli, Kerri (Rae Kyritsi) Poulson, Kelsey (Tim) Poulson-Ellestad, Heidi (Jim) Jarvis, Cale Wiley, Cameron (Mindy) Wiley, Kyle (Andrea) Wiley, Cliff (J’nai) Wiley and Clayton Wiley; 18 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and her sister, Joanne Monty. She is further survived by numerous family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her sister, Shirley Foster.
The family plans to gather this summer to celebrate Jacque’s life. For additional information, please email jacquecelebration@gmail.com.
