Bonduel 10, Amherst 3
Bonduel took advantage of nine walks and five Amherst errors to earn a needed conference win, 10-3.
The Bears were also aggressive on the bases, stealing 10 times without getting caught.
Cade Johnson started on the mound for Bonduel and struck out 10 in five innings. He gave way to Beckett Hartlaben who struck out three more in two innings to earn the win.
Bonduel could not get the bats going until the fifth inning, scoring a run on a fielder’s choice ground ball.
In the sixth, the Bears took advantage of six walks, four singles and three errors by the Falcons and scored nine runs before all was said and done.
Joe Felhofer and Hartlaben had two hits each, and Felhofer added two RBIs.
Bonduel is now 12-8 overall and 9-4 in CWC East play.
