Tigerton tops Bowler in conference opener

Tigerton traveled to Bowler to compete in its first CWC North match of the season and returned home with a 3-0 win. Game scores were 25-10, 25-18, and 25-15.

Leading the Tigers were:

Kills: Presley Stewart-Rolfs 13, Renata Nordwig and Mya Smith with six each, and Eliana Michaelis with four.

Assists: Danika Tiller 18, Michaelis with eight.

Oconto Falls’ Borkovec has second-best score in Luxemburg

Oconto Falls golfers placed third with a 228 at Northbrook Golf and Grill in Luxemburg.

Riley Borkovec’s 47 was the second-best score of the day. Also scoring for the Panthers were Jadyn Saari 58, Chloe Anastasopoulos 61 and Emery Pagel 62.

Pulaski’s Wazniak gets hat trick in win over East

Pulaski 4, Green Bay East 1

The Red Raiders got a hat trick from Walker Wozniak and notched a 4-1 win over the visiting Red Devils from Green Bay East.

Pulaski got on the board early with a goal from Kevin Cruz Lagunes in the second minute of the game. Wozniak added goals in the 16th and 30th minute to help build a 3-0 halftime lead for Pulaski.

Pulaski tennis team shut down by Sheboygan North

Sheboygan North 7, Pulaski 0

Pulaski’s tennis team was shut out 7-0 by Sheboygan North, with the top two doubles teams playing three sets before coming up short.

Red Raiders ready for FRCC-North competition

Now that the nonconference schedule is in the books, it’s time for the Pulaski football team to get down to business in the Fox River Classic Conference-North.

The Red Raiders improved to 2-0 Aug. 28 with a 21-16 road win over Hortonville and will open FRCC-North play Sept. 4 at home against another 2-0 team, Bay Port, last year’s runner-up in the WIAA Division 1 state championship game.

Hawks christen new stadium with win over Lakeland

It didn’t take long for the Shawano football team to get a win on its new field, as the Hawks handed Lakeland a 16-15 defeat in a nonconference matchup Aug. 28 at the Shawano Stadium.

The home opener at Shawano Community High School’s new athletic field ended on a positive note for the Hawks, as they scored 10 unanswered points off of a pair of turnovers in the fourth quarter.
