A new Snowbulance has been delivered to Mountain Ambulance Service (MAS). The Snowbulance can carry a patient and an EMT from an off-road accident to the ambulance.
It’s fully enclosed and equipped with interior lights and a heater. The Snowbulance has an interchangeable base, with skis for winter months and wheels for the rest of the year, so it can be used year-round. It will be towed on the trails by the MAS snowmobile or the MAS ranger.
Mountain Ambulance Service is grateful to all the ATV and snowmobile clubs, individuals, business owners and groups who raised money for the equipment, including Boulder Lake Sno-Goers, Paul Bunyan Riders Snowmobile Club, Chute Pond Snowmobile Club, Dusty Trails ATV Club, Hidden Bear Trail ATV Club, Red Arrow Snowmobile ATV Club, Mulligan’s Sports Bar, Randall’s Resort (Tim and Jackie Randall), Larry Joa (Larry’s Things), Maiden Lake Association, Birch Hills Resort and My Bar, Friends of Mountain Ambulance Service, Mike Pichotta and other individual donors.
The Snowbulance will be in service later this year.
