Shirley Ann Welcing, 79, of Bonduel, passed away Sunday, July 13, 2014. Born on Feb. 15, 1935, in Chicago, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Clara Meyer.
On June 12, 1954, Shirley was united in marriage to Raymond Welcing Sr. Shirley was very active in the community of Bonduel. She helped at the Bonduel Civic Association, the Fourth of July celebration and the Legion Auxiliary. Shirley was an active member of St. Martin’s Church in Cecil, where she helped with church activities. Shirley loved camping and camped in all lower 48 states. Most importantly, she loved her family and her dogs.
Shirley is survived by her children, Raymond Welcing Jr.; Nancy Welcing and her children, Christopher (Carlene) Martens, Matthew (Jessica) Martens, Kathryn (Jacob) Leeman, Michael (special friend, Elena) Martens, Andrew, Timothy, Jonathan and Nathan Martens; Brenda (Randy) Polzin and their son, Bradley Polzin; Christine (Markius Sr.) Bahr and their children, Markius (Alicia) Bahr Jr., Bradley (Angela) Bahr, Tricia (William Graf) Bahr, Jennifer Bahr; Michael (Katherine) Welcing and their children, Brandon (Heather) Martens, Hollyann (Jesse) Terrones, Mikayla Welcing; James (Kathy) Welcing and their children, Jeremy Staniforth and Erin Welcing; Daniel (Cornelia) Welcing and their children, Annalena, Lukas and Joshua Welcing; Joseph (Karen) Welcing and their children, Taylor and Danielle Welcing; Mark (Ashley) Welcing; great-grandchildren, David, Autumn, Lily, Austin, Melissa, baby Martens, Isabella, Brayden, Charlotte, Malcolm, Kass, Rylee, Keaton, Riana, Tessa, Alex, Morgyn, Kadyn, Caden and Chloe; and special pets, Oreo, Brandi and Mylo.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Sr., her parents, siblings and grandson, Cordero.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday July 25, 2014, at the St. Martin’s Catholic Church in Cecil with the Rev. Luke Ferris officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Friday, July 25, 2014, from 9 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be in the St. Martin’s Catholic parish cemetery.
