Opening night for the 2025 Shawano Speedway season has been pushed back from April 12 to April 26 fue to weather conditons. The April 26 date is tentative at this time.
Pit gates open at 3 p.m., and the ticket booth opens at 4 p.m. Hot laps begin at 5:30 p.m., and racing gets underway at 6 p.m.
Admission is $12 for those 17 and older, $6 for those 12-16 and free for those 11 or younger with a paid adult.
A grandstand full-season pass with 20 punches is $200, with a half-season pass with 10 punches available for $100.
Pit passes are $30 for anyone 12 and older, and $10 for anyone 11 and younger.
Season passes for the pits are $500 for a full season and $250 for a half-season.
Dogs and glass bottles are not allowed.
There are special events, race sponsorships and other programs available each night through the championship night during the Shawano County Fair on Aug. 30.
As in years past, the track will feature races in five divisions — IMCA sport modifieds, IMCA modifieds, late models, IMCA stock cars and Mighty 4’s.
IMCA sport modifieds: This is an affordable open wheel division designed to help drivers get behind the wheel with minimum expense. The cars have a crate engine program, are nationally sanctioned by IMCA and race on tracks throughout the United States.
IMCA modifieds: Nationally sanctioned, this open wheel class competes throughout the state. The minimum wheelbase on these cars is 108 inches, and they may not have wings or spoilers.
Late models: The fastest cars on the track, these late models are governed by rules that have been crafted to allow cars from several sanctions to compete together at the Shawano Speedway.
IMCA stock cars: Nationally sanctioned, this division is designed as affordable for drivers and teams. The division allows for minor modifications to the chassis and engines.
Mighty 4s: This economical class for anyone who has the urge to run on the dirt features 4-cylinder front-wheel drive cars.
Jeffery Teske won the IMCA sport modifieds championship in 2024. Other title winners were: Jordan Barkholtz, late models; Jordan Bartz, IMCA modifieds; Trent Nolan, IMCA stock cars; and Dalton Nelson, Mighty 4s.
