Richard “Dick” Paiser, 78, of the town of Red Springs, passed away Friday, Aug. 9, 2013, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Born on Sept. 4, 1934, in the town of Red Springs, he was the son of the late Sylvester and Irma (Genke) Paiser. Dick was raised on the family farm in the town of Red Springs and was a graduate of Gresham High School. On June 15, 1955, he was united in marriage to Rose Schafberger at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shawano. Dick was a proud member of the Gresham Lions, the Red River Sportsman Club, the Gresham Alumni and the St. Francis Catholic Church in Gresham. In his free time he enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing and his dog, Ginger.
Dick is survived by his wife of 58 years, Rose; five children, Cindy (Gary) Dalke, of Gresham, Tom (Dawn) Paiser, of Shawano, Gary Paiser and Bonnie Paiser, of Bowler, Tim (Kristy) Paiser, of Shawano, and Terri (Jason) Laastch, of Clintonville; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Bob (Gladys) Paiser, of North Carolina, and Peter (Sharon) Paiser, of Shawano.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2013, at the St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church in Gresham with the Rev. David Barrett and the Rev. David Schmidt officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Swedberg Funeral Home in Gresham on Monday from 4-8 p.m. and at the church on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. A parish wake service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established.
