Preston Scott Pyawasay

Preston Scott Pyawasay, 63, of Keshena, died on Tuesday, July 1, 2014. Born on Feb. 1, 1951, in Keshena, he was the son of William M. Pyawasay Sr. and the late Jacqualine M. (Menore) Pyawasay. Preston enlisted in the Army and served in Germany. After service he attended Marquette University for accounting. His past jobs include working at a phone company in Milwaukee, Menominee enrollment office in Keshena for several years, and lastly at the casino in Keshena. Preston enjoyed fishing, the casino and sports, especially the Packers, Brewers, Bucks and Badgers. Preston is survived by his dad, William; his brothers, Clayton (Twila) Neconish, Arrvin (Vera) Pyawasay, Nash J. “Menot” Pyawasay and Donald Fonds; his sisters, Elaine (Greg) Martinez, Donna R. (Tony) Alveraz, Shelley (Russell) Conjurski, Twila (Jarvis) Pyawasay, Debbie (Mark) Pyawasay, Dawn (Chris) Pyawasay, Dawn M. Lawe and Mona Pyawasay; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother and brother, William L Pyawasay. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 5, 2014, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Neopit with the Rev. David McElroy, O.Praem, officiating. Burial will be in the Rest Haven Cemetery with military rites conducted by the Menominee Veterans. Visitation will be held at the William M. Pyawasay Sr. residence, N897 Knote Road, Keshena. after 4 p.m. Thursday until 10:30 a.m. Saturday when the funeral procession goes to the church.
