Eagles fall to HOPE Christian
The Menominee Indian High School football team lost its season-opening game 28-14 to Milwaukee HOPE Christian on Friday in Milwaukee.
HOPE Christian took a 14-0 lead in the first quarter and led 28-8 by halftime.
Menominee Indian quarterback Dallas Madosh ran for a touchdown in the second quarter and hit Michael Pecore for a 32-yard touchdown in the third.
Chargers lose to Northland Pines
The Wittenberg-Birnamwood High School football team lost 50-22 to Northland Lutheran in a nonconference game Friday in Wittenberg.
Running back Keegan Miller led the Chargers with 14 carries and 161 yards. Quarterback Sam Szews went one for two for five yards.
Northland Lutheran racked up 248 yards on the ground and 283 yards through the air.
