Hawks top New London
The Shawano Community High School volleyball team beat New London in four sets Thursday in Shawano.
The Hawks (1-2 Bay) beat Bay Conference foe New London (1-1) 25-12, 22-25, 25-18, 25-12.
Bella Gonzalez and Erika Dunnam led Shawano in kills with seven each. Dunnam had six blocks. Annelies Young had 16 assists, three service aces and nine digs. Haley Going had 13 digs.
Tigerton sweeps Menominee Indian
The Tigerton High School volleyball team beat Menominee Indian 3-0 in a Central Wisconsin Conference-8 match Thursday in Keshena.
The Tigers (4-2 CWC-8) won 25-9, 25-13, 25-9.
Katie Watters had 13 points, seven kills for Tigerton. Summer Kopitzke had 16 points. Erin Robbins had 15 assists.
