Optometry added to Oconto NorthLakes Community Clinic

NorthLakes Community Clinic announces the launch of comprehensive optometry services at its Oconto location and welcomes Dr. Marissa Spatz as the clinic’s new optometrist. This new service line expands access to complete eye care for residents throughout the region, including comprehensive eye exams, glasses and contact lenses. Spatz provides vision care to individuals ages 5 and older, with a focus on person-centered service. The addition of full-service optometry represents NorthLakes Community Clinic’s continued commitment to meeting the evolving health care needs of the communities it serves. Spatz earned her doctor of optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry and holds a bachelor of science degree from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Her clinical training includes both veteran and underserved populations, where she managed a range of vision needs, from routine care to complex diagnoses. “My approach to care is conservative, yet mindful,” she said. “I aim to provide a space for patients to be active in their health decisions by making sure they feel informed and supported.” Hannah Schad, clinic manager at the Oconto location, expressed enthusiasm about the new service addition. “We’re thrilled to offer optometry services at our newly opened Oconto facility,” Schad said. “Adding vision care, including on-site glasses, allows us to provide even more complete health care to our community. It’s exciting to see how quickly we’re able to expand our services to meet the needs of the families we serve in our brand-new location.” Spatz is passionate about accessibility in health care and encourages patients to come prepared with questions, current medications and relevant health history to make the most of their visit. She believes that when patients feel heard and informed, they’re more empowered to make decisions that positively impact their well-being. Appointments with Spatz are now available at NorthLakes Community Clinic in Oconto. To schedule, visit nlccwi.org or call 920-516-7107.
