Proceedings of Dec. 5 • Dakota L. King, 45, a former Green Bay man now serving a prison sentence at Racine Correctional Institution, was sentenced to two years in prison, followed by two years of extended supervision, for misdemeanor charges of receiving stolen property and resisting or obstructing an officer, in connection with an incident that occurred Oct. 25, 2021. Judge Jay Conley also gave King credit for two years and 29 days already served since he was arrested. A felony theft charge was dismissed but read into the record as part of the plea agreement. Proceedings of Dec. 4 • Kasper Hang, 36, Manitowoc, pleaded guilty to felony bail jumping and a misdemeanor count of resisting or obstructing an officer, in connection with an incident that occurred July 9. Judge Michael Judge withheld sentence and placed Hang on probation for two years with conditions. • Gerald W. Tucker III, 54, Lakewood, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor counts of carrying a concealed weapon, possession of THC and disorderly conduct, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Aug. 8, 2020. A felony and two other misdemeanor charges were dismissed but read into the record. Judge scheduled sentencing for Jan. 16. • The final pre-trial conference was held for the Dec. 20-21 jury trial of Steven M. Schmitz, 69, Crivitz, who is charged with three counts of first-degree recklessly endangering safety and one count of misdemeanor disorderly conduct, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Feb. 16, 2020. The trial is in the No. 1 position on the schedule. Plans for jury selection were completed, and Conley advised attorneys to contact him should the case be resolved before trial. • A Jan. 4-5 jury trial was rescheduled for May 8-9 for Edward Alexander Lewis, 51, Oconto Falls, on charges of possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, bail jumping, maintaining a drug trafficking place and misdemeanor counts of possession of THC and possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Feb. 7. Judge scheduled a final pre-trial conference for May 6. • Shane P. Hamlin, 29, Green Bay, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and pleaded not guilty to possession of THC (second or subsequent offense) and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Jan. 4. Judge scheduled a pre-trial conference for Dec. 14. • After a preliminary hearing Adam J. Martens, 31, Oconto, was bound over on a charge of child abuse intentionally causing harm, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Sept. 10, and victim intimidation and misdemeanor criminal damage to property, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Sept. 14. Conley scheduled arraignment for Dec. 14.
