Hillside Assembly of God Church in Gillett will begin a new year of youth and children’s programs on Wednesday evenings beginning Sept. 4, kicking off with a special open house event at 6:30 p.m. with prizes, games, hot dogs and ice cream. Royal Rangers is a boys’ program for ages 3-18. Boys learn practical lessons from the Bible with a variety of themes including camping, sports, lifesaving, first aid, etc.

Whiskers the cat spent many hours helping Detective Fred Mason work on cases at home. They had an impressive solve rate earning Whiskers his own detective badge. Fred and Sheila hoped to retire to Florida. They found the perfect place, but it was too expensive.

Judy A. Rosenow, age 77, of Embarrass, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2024, at ThedaCare Medical Center, Shawano. The Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory, Clintonville, is assisting the Rosenow family.
