Gresham holiday tournament opens Friday
The Gresham Booster Club Holiday Tournament will be held Friday and Saturday at Gresham Community High School. The varsity games are scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m. Friday. Championship games for both girls and boys will be held Saturday night. The full schedule is below. Note that this schedule will change depending on the length of games. Bonduel suffers first loss of season
After winning its first six games of the season, the Bonduel High School boys basketball team finally met its match. Oconto broke a 34-34 tie early in the third quarter with a 16-4 run, and the Bears could never recover.
Hawks rally to beat Ashwaubenon
The Hawks hung around just long enough. The Shawano Community High School boys basketball team stayed with Ashwaubenon for three quarters and then went to work. Dawn M. Sosa
Dawn M. Sosa, 49, passed away on Dec. 24, 2014. Dawn was born June 3, 1965, in Milwaukee to Lorraine Thom. Dawn was smart, talented, creative and funny. She loved to bead and cake decorate. Dawn is survived by her daughters, Leah, Maria, Jessica, Angelica, Rosa, Nicole, CJ, and son, Alex.
Terry J. Birkholz
Terry J. Birkholz, 71, of the town of Hartland, Bonduel, died on Saturday, Dec. 27, 2014, in Shawano. Terry was born on Jan. 22, 1943, in West Bend, the son of the late Alvin and Maryann (Schweitzer) Birkholz. On Nov. 24, 1962, Terry was united in marriage to Karen Habeck in the town of Richmond. Terry lived in the Shawano area all his life and worked at F.W.D.
Jeremiah Heath Rockman
Jeremiah Heath Rockman was born and died on Monday, Dec. 29, 2014, in Milwaukee. Jeremiah was the son of Cierra Bernarde and Derrick Rockman. Jeremiah is survived by his mom, Cierra; his dad, Derrick; a brother, Avery Perez; grandmothers, Melissa Heath and Theresa Escalante; grandfather, Marc Bernarde; great-grandmother, Leah Miller; and numerous aunts and uncles.
