Child care concerns plague WB school district

Retaining staff is a challenge for the Wittenberg-Birnamwood School District, a similar issue for many districts throughout Wisconsin, and Superintendent Garrett Rogowski believes one key factor is the lack of child care in western Shawano County. Jerry Yang has been appointed the new chief financial officer (CFO) at Aspirus, succeeding Sid Sczygelski, who will retire after a 39-year career with Aspirus. Yang has held financial executive positions for more than 13 years.

Applications open for Tri-County United Way Community Impact grants
Tri-County United Way (TCUW) has opened the application for its 2024 Community Impact grant process. This year, TCUW invites new and existing partners to apply for funding focused on basic needs in their communities. TCUW serves Oconto County, among others. Community Impact funding is open to any registered 501(c)(3) health and human services nonprofit organizations that align with TCUW’s mission and funding priorities.
