Hawks top Denmark in girls soccer The Shawano Community High School girls soccer defeated Denmark 5-1 Thursday on the road. Sarah Dickmann and Louisa Keenan each scored two goals, and Megan Klitzke added one. Lindsey McFarlane and Morgan Klitzke each recorded an assist. In goal for the Hawks (7-6, 3-2 Bay Conference), Carlie Hinnefeld had three saves. Denmark was unable to get on the board before Shawano had built a 4-0 lead. The Shawano junior varsity won, 4-0. Wildcats drub Port Edwards Beau Hoffman and Kalen Fischer each drove in three runs, and Raymond Creapeau scattered four hits over seven innings as Gresham defeated Port Edwards, 9-3, Thursday in Gresham. Fischer recorded three hits to lead the Wildcats, who collected 11 hits overall. Fischer and Derek Bowman each had two hits. Creapeau struck out three and walked three in the win. Tigerton rolls against Wild Rose Tigerton High School’s softball team turned six hits and six walks into 10 runs Thursday in a 10-1 win over Wild Rose. Morgan Marquardt had two hits for the winners. Erin Robbins, Ashley Knaup, Erin Buch, Megan Anheuser each added a hit. Robbins was the winning pitcher. She gave up five hits, struck out five and walked two.
