Bernice V. Schneider, 93, of Cecil, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2014, at her home with her family by her side. Born on Aug. 4, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Molly (Borger) Kuehn.
Bernice was united in marriage to Elmer O. Schneider on Nov. 30, 1940, in Milwaukee. Bernice worked at Shawano Medical Center for 55 years as a nurses’ aid.
Bernice is survived by her daughter, Carol Ann (Marvin) Gehm; her sons, James Schneider, John (Angie) Schneider, Jeffrey (Karen) Schneider, all of Cecil; seven grandchildren, Bonnie (Tom) Timm, Steve Gehm, Johnathan Schneider, Bradley (Corey) Schneider, Kyle Schneider, Mike Schneider and April Schneider; two great-grandchildren, Emily and Jennifer Timm; her sisters, Gertrude Zander, of Shawano, Patsy (James) Schmidt, of Gillett, Jane (Carl) Martin, of Mattoon, and Marion Stefl, of Shawano; brothers-in-law, Lloyd Schmidt and Leonard Pawlowski; as well as a sister-in-law, Janice Kuehn.
Bernice was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer, her parents, four brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services will be at 12 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, 2014, at the Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with the Rev. Ted Andrada officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to ThedaCare at Home.
