Winter hasn’t cooperated the last couple of years, and it was no different this year for the Mooseyard Winterfest on Saturday.
The mild weather forced organizers to cancel most outdoor events, but the Bar Olympics drew more participants than other years. Seventeen teams competed in contests such as darts, bean bag toss, hockey, pool, bowling and shuffleboard.
Five bars — Symbas, Cotton Patch, Golfside, Coachlight and Sigrid’s — participated.
The team from Symbas won first place with a prize of $130. Names of the winners were not available.
Other Lake Drive bars from the Flying Squirrel to the Cotton Patch had food specials or music for the event.
