Bears best Tigers in season opener
Emily Sorenson’s 13 points, seven rebounds and five assists led Bonduel to its first victory of the season against Gillett Tuesday, 74-42.
Kailee Pedersen and Taylor Weier also each tallied double-digit scores, with 12 and 10, respectively. Weier added six rebounds, while junior Danee Collier recorded seven steals to go along with eight points.
The Bears outscored Gillett 43-24 in the second half.
Gresham moves to 1-0 on season
Taylor Hoffman and Kamille Davids each scored nine points, while junior Sydney Jensen recorded eight points in a 38-23 victory over Wisconsin Valley Lutheran Tuesday night.
Senior River Otradovec posted seven points as well for the Wildcats.
Eagles record first victory
Last season’s CWC-10 Player of the Year, Ania Smith, led Menominee Indian with 11 points in a 30-25 victory over Manawa Tuesday night.
Senior guard Taylor Mahkimetas added seven points, including one three-point field goal.
