About 110 ATVs and UTVs paraded from Townsend Shell to Barb’s Valley Inn on Aug. 31 to kick off the seventh annual ATV/UTV parade and corn roast sponsored by Red Arrow Snowmobile ATV Club and Barb’s Valley Inn.
They were led by parade marshal Jerry Cady.
The crowd spent the summer afternoon and evening under a huge tent enjoying raffles, DJ music and lots of good food.
The raffle winner of the 50-inch flat-screen TV from Forest TV in Lakewood was Vern Diedrick, of Kaukauna. Other major prizes went to Jim Biever, of Townsend, who won a $250 gas card from Townsend Shell, and Donna Koldis, of Kenosha, who won a gun from Pintsch’s Hardware.
The $50 gift certificates from Lakewood Super Valu, Sunset Resort and Mike’s Supermarket went to Mary Ann Nelson, Jeff Holschbach, Jug, Tom Litscher, Keith Messenger and Marcia Griesbach. The six $25 gas cards from Townsend Shell went to Rick Opelia, Eric Oleson, Jerry Griesbach, Barb Hesselink, Dan Huggen and Georg Schmidt.
Club president Joe Kampf thanked Rob and Kim Seebers of Townsend Shell for organizing the parade, Johnsonville Sausage for the meat donations, the Townsend Police Department and the Townsend Flowage Association for the use of their equipment, and club members, friends and participants who made the event a success.
Red Arrow also thanked Jim and Barb Majestic, owners of Barb’s Valley Inn, for their support of the event and the club.
Profits from the event will help the Red Arrow Snowmobile ATV Club maintain its reputation of having some of the finest snowmobile and ATV trails in this part of the state.
