The Gillett School Board on June 19 approved funding for three projects.
Spaulding Floorworks of Oconto Falls will replace the carpeting in the high school principal’s office and floor tiles on the steps near the weight room for a cost of $9,478.50. The money, taken from the 2013-2014 budget, will also cover extra carpet squares to keep on hand. The work was scheduled to be completed this week.
The same company will replace the vinyl tile in Rooms 207 and 211 of the middle school. The project will cost $5,826, and money will be budgeted in the 2014-2015 school year.
The district opted to replace existing soffit and fascia at the district office entrance after estimating a cost in excess of $2,000 to repaint it. Tri Star Builders of Cecil will replace the soffit and fascia with aluminum for a cost of $5,812.42. The funds will come from the 2014-2015 budget.
The middle school and district office projects are scheduled to be completed this summer.
