Larry “Dusty Rhodes” Rhode, 70, a Crivitz resident and formerly of Green Bay, passed away Monday, June 29, 2015, at home.
He was born Nov. 10, 1944, in Wabeno to the late Adolph and Vivian Rhode. He attended Gillett High School.
Larry was employed by Schneider Transport for 33 years.
He enjoyed driving his Harleys, “a 1960s member of the Magnetos,” golfing and spending time with his special friend, Shirley Drafz, and their dog, Henry. He also enjoyed projects with his Kubota tractor in which he received payment in beer!
Surviving are two daughters, Nicole Rhode, of Colorado, and Brenda Rhode, of Suamico; six grandchildren, Jesse, Desirae, Dylan (in heaven), Lacey, Lukas and Seth; one great-granddaughter, Claire; two brothers, Darrell (Faye) Rhode, of Arizona, and Bruce (Johnnie) Rhode, of Clintonville; and one sister, Laurel Langley, of Coleman.
Family greeted relatives and friends Sunday, July 5, at the Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home in Crivitz from 9 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 10 a.m. The Rev. Nick Johannes officiated.
