Eland outhits, outscores Hatley in BABA North Division contest

Eland picked up a 10-2 win over Hatley on June 7 in a full slate of Badger Amateur Baseball Association games.

North Division

Eland 10, Hatley 2

Eland had 17 hits in the Engineers’ win over the Braves in Hatley.

Nick Barnes led Eland with four hits, while Charlie Woida had three; Jeremy Jensen, Blade Niewiadomski and Ryan Richter added two each.

Sam Meerstein had three of Hatley’s nine hits, while Braxton Olson and Nick Cotter added two each.

Jared Richter picked up the win on the mound, and Ben Cunliffe took the loss.

Aniwa 11, Crandon 6

Aniwa hosted Crandon and handed the Kentucks a five-run loss.

Kody Szews went the distance on the mound for Aniwa and also had four of the Orioles’ 17 hits.

Gavin Steppert also had four hits for Aniwa, while Monty Salvesen, Wade Farmer and Tanner Graham added two each.

Brad Shepherd and Cole Shepherd each had three of Crandon’s nine hits.

Antigo/Polar 16, Elderon 1 (7 inn.)

Elderon hosted the Bears but ended up on the short end of a 16-1 score.

West Division

Caroline 15, Tilleda 4 (8 inn.)

Little Falls 9, Weymont 0

Weymont forfeited to Little Falls on June 7 in the Loggers’ Fan Appreciation Night game.

Leopolis at Tigerton

The Tigers’ home game with Leopolis was rained out June 5 and will be rescheduled.

Scandinavia at Wittenberg

The Pilots’ home game against the Vikings was rained out June 5 and will be rescheduled.

East Division

Menominee 17, Clintonville 16

Menominee and Clintonville combined for 33 runs June 7 in a BABA East Division game in Keshena.

Pete O’Kimosh picked up the win on the mound for Menominee, and Andy Lederer took the loss for the A’s.

Austin Peters, Mitchell Vande Walle and Quinn Gauthier each had three hits to lead Menominee at the plate.

Austin Hoffman led Clintonville with three hits, while Brock Smejkal added two hits — including a grand slam.

James Mutchie had two hits, and Turner Doornink added a three-run home run.

Marion 13, Shawano 9

The Meisters headed to Shawano and returned home with a 13-9 win over the Lakers.

South-Central Division
