Shawano 6, Medford 1
Two singles matches went to three sets, and a doubles match had a tiebreaker, but the Shawano tennis team came out on top in all those and more in a 6-1 nonconference home victory over Medford.
Tanner Thiel defeated Ethan Kollmansberger 7-5, 1-6, 10-2;, and Everett Grover beat Ethan Jones 6-4, 2-6, 10-8.
In doubles, Samuel Green and John Kim topped Axl Spanbauer and Carter Ziehlke 6-1, 7-6 (9).
Shawano won two more singles matches and another doubles match.
Enrique Omella Valls defeated Parker Hill 6-0, 6-0, while Kiernan Sheldon beat Blaine Searles 6-2, 6-3.
Also, Evan Anderson and Charlie Grieves topped Christian Preuss and Cash Thums 6-3, 6-1.
Medford’s only win came in a doubles match when Lucas Mahner and Austin Czarnezki defeated Seth Pyatskowit and Francesco La Notte 6-0, 6-0.
West De Pere 7, Pulaski 0
Pulaski lost all seven matches to West De Pere, with the closest coming from Aaron Trijueque Ruiz at No. 4 singles. Ozzy Kraft defeated him 7-5, 6-1.
In other singles matches, Liam Hankel shut out Oriol Capella Rodon 6-0, 6-0, Rafe Zifferblatt defeated Thoma Pannatier 6-1, 6-0, and Alex Schmeisser defeated Jonah Drevs 6-2, 6-1.
All three doubles teams lost 6-0, 6-0. The tandems were Oscar Delmarcelle and Lucas Ford, William Gosse and Conrad Kreutzberg, and Simon Banaszynski and Liam Ford.
