Brillion 2, Bonduel 1
Beckett Hartlaben and Landon Mathes squared off in a pitching duel in Brillion as both pitchers went the distance in Brillion’s 2-1 win.
After three scoreless innings, Bonduel jumped out to a 1-0 lead on an RBI single by Aiden Hillsberg. Brillion tied it on a suicide squeeze in the sixth inning.
After the Bears failed to score in the seventh, Harlaben struck out the first two batters in the bottom of the inning. A Brillion base hit and stolen base put the runner in scoring position, which is what he did when the next batter singled for the final 2-1 score.
Cade Johnson had two hits for the Bears, and Landon Mathes had two for Brillion.
Bonduel is now 4-3 overall and 3-1 in CWC East.
