Shawano 61, Green Bay East 22
It was another record-breaking night for Shawano’s Leah Nordin in the Hawks’ 61-22 win over Green Bay East.
The 6-2 junior sank a short jumper from the left side of the lane with 9:16 left in the first half at Green Bay East to become Shawano’s all-time leading basketball scorer, boys or girls.
Last month, she broke the record for all-time scoring by a female.
Nordin now has 1,343 career points. The old record was 1,329 points, set by John Cantwell, who played for Shawano from 1955-58.
Nordin finished with 18 points – 13 of them in the first half.
Trinity Popelka added 14 points for the Hawks (9-3 overall, 4-1 conference). Seven other girls also scored.
Coach Ryan Koenig said a good defensive game led to transition baskets as the Hawks pulled away early, leading 39-5 at halftime.
Pulaski 73. Green Bay Southwest 22
Pulaski had no trouble in dismantling Green Bay Southwest, running up a 44-8 halftime lead as they cruised to a 73-22 win.
Ashley Servais led the Red Raiders with 15 points, and Olivia Sprangers added 13. Anya Hasser and Alissa Nischke each scored 10. Five other girls scored in single digits.
Denmark 56, Oconto Falls 31
Rylie Shallow scored 17 points as Oconto Falls was defeated 56-31 by Denmark.
