Proceedings of Jan. 26 • After a preliminary hearing Randy L. Brempell, 52, Lena, was bound over and pleaded not guilty to theft of movable property valued between $10,000 and $100,000, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Nov. 3. Judge Michael Judge scheduled a pre-trial conference for March 14. Proceedings of Jan. 25 • After a preliminary hearing Sara Lee Ducat, 35, Oconto, was bound over on charges of battery or threat to a law officer, misdemeanor disorderly conduct, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Nov. 19. Judge Jay Conley scheduled arraignment for Feb. 15. • After a preliminary hearing, Angela D. Hawkins, 37, Abrams, was bound over on charges of child abuse and substantial battery, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Dec. 22. Conley scheduled arraignment for Feb. 15. Proceedings of Jan. 23 • Carolyn Marie Moore, 45, Appleton, pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge of possession of THC, in connection with an incident that occurred March 26, 2023. The charge was amended from a felony in a plea agreement. Judge withheld sentencing and placed her on probation for one year with conditions. Proceedings of Jan. 22 • Shawn C. Saeger Jr., 35, Oconto, pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge of theft of movable property, in connection with an incident that occurred July 27, 2022. Conley ordered that Saeger pay restitution to the victim as well as fines, court costs and attorney fees. • David Lawrence Vanness, 58, Luxemburg, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and pleaded not guilty to operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated (sixth offense) and operating with a prohibited blood-alcohol content, in connection with a crash that occurred Sept. 30. Judge scheduled a pre-trial conference for May 7. • Ashley R. Degroot, 37, formerly of Gillett, waived her right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over on charges of possession of narcotic drugs, possession of methamphetamine, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Aug. 1. Conley scheduled arraignment for Feb. 15. • Rhonda R. Shampo, 61, Oconto, waived her right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over on charges of second-degree recklessly endangering safety and misdemeanor disorderly conduct, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Oct. 29. Arraignment was scheduled for March 5.
