Maxine Mae Dembski (Schulz), 78, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2022, at home after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. Her husband was at her side. He lovingly and devotedly cared for his wife, in love with her to the very end.
Maxine grew up in rural Suring and was one of 11 children. She met her husband, Tony, in Milwaukee, where she moved soon after high school. The two of them were married for 59 years. She was a loving mother of two daughters, grandmother to three, and great-grandmother to four.
She was a Brownie scout leader and taught Sunday school. Maxine was a long-time employee of NuLine Industries in Suring. Along with her husband, she owned and operated Maple Valley Orchards and Unique Antiques. She especially loved decorating her house and baking for the Christmas holidays, searching for and collecting antiques, and spending time in her large perennial gardens.
The family would especially like to thank her caregivers, Roxanne Runge and Colleen Warrichaiet, who provided loving care to Maxine during her declining years. They would also like to express their appreciation to the staff of Unity Hospice Care for their support.
She is preceded in death by her mother, father, and three brothers. She is survived by her husband, Anthony; daughters, Toni Ann (Thomas) Holt and Tammy (Jerry) Naczek; grandchildren, Ashton (Mike) Gebert, Kurtis (Cindy) Goman, and Samuel Brandl; great-grandchildren Ellyn and Callie Gebert, Bryson and Allyson Goman.
A memorial service will be held later in the year.
