Mark J. Jahnke, 58, of Oshkosh, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 27, 2014, in Shawano. Mark was born on April 26, 1956, in Milwaukee to the late Eugene and Elaine (Jung) Jahnke. Mark was united in marriage to Kelly Owen in Shawano on Sept. 29, 1988. He was proud to have worked at Leach Company in Oshkosh for over 20 years. Mark was a lifetime member of the NRA and North American Hunting and Fishing clubs. He enjoyed watching the Packers, Brewers, Badgers and racing of all kinds. Mark also liked hunting, fishing and being Santa year round. What Mark loved the most was spending time with his wife, Kelly, his children and his hunting and fishing buddies.
Mark is survived by his wife, Kelly; his children, Angela Tarlton-Steinhauer, Nicole Jahnke, Tucker Jahnke and Tanner Jahnke.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; his father-in-law, Daniel Owen; and his good friends, Dan Steeber, Glenda Marquette and Carmella Kurtz.
The family is honoring Mark’s wishes of cremation with no public services. A private family service will be held at a later date. Swedberg Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
