Manawa defeats Bonduel in seventh inning

May 19 Wittenberg-Birnamwood 10, Shiocton 2 Wittenberg-Birnamwood closed out its regular season with a 10-2 wi over Shiocton. The Chargers ended in third place at 10-4 in the CWC East. Manawa 5, Bonduel 4 Manawa scored a pair of runs in the bottom of the seventh to defeat Bonduel 5-4 and the lead in the CWC East. The Bears took a 1-0 lead in the top of the second, only to see Manawa scored three runs in the third for a 3-1 lead. Bonduel scored three of their own in the sixth inning for a 4-3 lead. Tatum Sporisky hit 2-for-4 with a pair of RBIs. Emery Thompson connected on three hits, and Marlie Hartmann and Haley Conradt had two each. Hartmann had a double. Gracyn Wudtke and Conradt each had an RBI. Kallie Wilcox was the losing pitcher. Manawa is in first place with a 12-1 mark. Bonduel is in second at 11-3.
