Are you passionate about making a difference in your community? Are you interested in learning how to lead more effectively? If your answers are “yes,” then join alumni of Leadership Wisconsin for a special program Tuesday evening.
Sponsored by CRI, The Main Event Banquet Hall and Shawano Medical Center, the free event is an opportunity to network with other local leaders while learning about the Leadership Wisconsin program.
Leadership Wisconsin’s Signature Program is a two-year, hands-on leadership development experience that takes leaders out of the traditional classroom and exposes them to people, places, ideas and issues they might not otherwise encounter. Participants enhance their personal, interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills through a series of in-state, national and international seminars.
At the same time they gain a broadened understanding of issues and how to apply their leadership skills to affect positive change in a dynamic and multicultural world.
The featured speaker for Tuesday’s program is Jeanne Agneessens, retired director of Leadership Green Bay, community leader and recipient of Leadership Wisconsin’s 2013 Modeling the Way Award. She will present “The Importance of Leadership and Leader Involvement in Our Communities.”
The event, which is open to the public, begins at 5:30 p.m. with networking, appetizers and a cash bar. Agneessens will speak at 6 p.m., followed by a Leadership Wisconsin alumni panel. The event is being held at The Main Event, 206 N. Lemke St., Cecil.

Applications for the Leadership Wisconsin Signature Program are due in November. Accepted applicants will begin their program in summer 2016.
The local meeting is one of seven “Trek Events” planned across the state by Leaders Engaged in Active Dialogue as a way for residents to find out if the Leadership Wisconsin program is a good fit for them.
