Lawrence A. Peters, 79, of Abrams, passed away after a short illness on Sunday, July 9, 2023, at Aurora Medical Center in Green Bay. Lawrence was born June 21, 1944, in Green Bay to the late Arnold and Marguerite (Dahlin) Peters. He married the love of his life, Nancy Robertson, on June 9, 1973.
Larry farmed with his parents until he was 28 years old. The enjoyment of working with his hands, as he built a house for his parents, led him to start his own business as a contractor for the next 10 years. He then worked as a custodian at the Abrams School for 30 years where he loved working with the students and staff to keep them smiling. Larry’s hard work and kindness were infectious. He and Nancy celebrated a blessed 50 years of marriage this summer. Larry lived his life in service of the Lord.
Lawrence is survived by his wife, Nancy Peters; a sister, Nancy Peters; three children, Perry (Shelly), Eric (Carly) and Amy; and four grandchildren, Sam, Isaiah, Lita, and Jayden.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Calvary Lutheran Church, Abrams, from 1-3 p.m. Thursday, July 13, 2023. Funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. Thursday at the church with the Rev. Matt Stuebs officiating.
