Lawrence E. Bricco Jr.

Lawrence “Larry” E. Bricco Jr., 55, of Clintonville, passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2014, in the Township of Long Lake, Florence County. Larry was born on May 11, 1959, in Clintonville, the son of the late Lawrence and Rosalie “Rosie” (Kupsky) Bricco Sr. He attended Clintonville High School, then served in the U.S. Army from 1977 until 1981. Returning to Clintonville, Larry trained and became an E.M.T. for Clintonville Area Ambulance Service. He also enjoyed working at the humane shelter in Shepley and serving as a security guard for the Shawano County Sheriff’s Department. Larry’s passion was working with his dogs and serving as director and operator of his independent K-9 Search and Rescue Service. For many years, Larry provided searches all over the United States. He earned the reputation and was named one of the top cadaver search units in the U.S. During his spare time, other activities Larry enjoyed were fund raising, hunting and salmon fishing. Survivors include his sisters: Susan Bricco, Wausau, Diana (Mike) Kasperek, Sandra Krainik and Patti (Terry) McAuly, all of Clintonville; nieces and nephews, Angie Schider, Brian (Crystal) Schider, Justin (Michelle) McAuly, Brandon (Bri Stevenson) McAuly, Savannah McAuly, Rachel Rose Kasperek and Corrisa Krainik; great-nephews, Tyler, Jacob and Aiden. He is further survived by aunts and uncles, cousins and friends. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, a stillborn brother, and a great niece, Lexi. Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, June 14, 2014, at the Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory, Clintonville, with Deacon Howard Bricco officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from noon until the time of the service. Military honors will be provided at the funeral home by American Legion Post 63 and VFW Post 664 of Clintonville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Bricco family to be established at a later date.
