John Michael Kostrzak

A funeral service for John Michael Kostrzak of Horseshoe Bend, Ark., will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2013, at the Assembly of God Church, Horseshoe Bend, with Brother Shepard and Pastor Berlen Walker officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time at the church. John passed away Sept. 6, 2013, in Mountain Home, Ark., at the age of 82. He was born April 8, 1931, in Manawa, the son of Louis and Polly Clapps Kostrzak. He married Nancy Lundt on Sept. 8, 1962, at Manawa, and worked as a millwright for Hotz Manufacturing. John was a U.S. veteran of the Korean War. John lived in Horseshoe Bend since 2004, moving from Wisconsin. He was a member of the American Legion and Ham Radio Club, and enjoyed hunting and fishing. John is survived by his wife, Nancy Kostrzak, of Horseshoe Bend, Ark.; daughter, Rebecca (Gus) May, of Shawano; and a brother, Russell Kostrzak, of Tigerton. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ralph Kostrzak. Entombment will be in the Kirby’s Tucker Memorial Mausoleum, Mountain Home, Ark. Military honors will be provided by the Ozark VFW Post 3246 Honor Guard. Memorials may be made to the family. Arrangements are being handled by Kirby and Family Funeral Home.
