Jack J. Marsh

Jack J. Marsh, 87, of Seymour, passed away Thursday, Aug. 8, 2013, at Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Seymour. He was born on July 18, 1926, son of the late John and Nellie (Johnvin) Marsh. Jack was united in marriage to June Hamlin in Mountain. He was a member of Angelica United Methodist Church, Pulaski. He was a VFW member in Mountain. Jack was in the World War II Army Air Corps, honorably discharged as a sergeant in 1947. He served in Japan during the war. As a young man he was a lumberjack in the Northwoods working with his father. He also played baseball with his dad in the Oconto County baseball league. Jack and June farmed in Mountain for eight years. After farming, the couple moved to Green Bay, where he worked with heavy equipment for construction companies until his retirement. He worked in the Seymour area since 1966. He is survived by his wife, June; children, Tom (Judy), Gillett, Dale (Rhonda), Seymour, Curt (Debbie), Seymour, John (Kari Jo), Bonduel, Hali (Noal) Huey, Seymour, and Carey St. Thomas, Kaukauna; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Carl Marsh, Suring, Neva Smith, Suring, Nettie Reuter, Suring, Enid (Jerry) Mattson, Townsend, and Jonell (John) Gregg, Wabeno; sister-in-law, Betty Jameson, Green Bay; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Joel Marsh; a sister, Delia Sperberg; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Friends called at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, on Monday, Aug. 12, 2013, from 3 p.m. until the memorial service at 5:30 p.m., with Pastor Loretta Waegli officiating.
