Four Shawano County Board supervisors turned back challengers in the April 7 election.
District 9 incumbent Ken Capelle defeated challenger Charles Fritsch 187-157.
In District 14, incumbent Matt Pleshek defeated challenger Timothy Novitski 188-109.
District 20 incumbent Rick Giese beat back a challenge from Roy Martin, 277-87.
Also, District 25 incumbent Dennis Knaak defeated challenger Steven Steinke 184-97.
In District 2, in which incumbent Heather Pahl did not run, Collin Pomplun received 145 votes. Aaron Gilling, running as a write-in, did not receive any votes.
In District 5, vacated by Curtis Naja’s decision not to run, did not have a candidate on the ballot or an official write-in candidate. However, Charles Anderson received four write-in votes.
District 7 incumbent Jeremy Gretzinger won another term with 14 write-in votes. Initially not seeking another term, neither he nor anyone else was on the ballot, but he later opted to run as an official write-in.
District 22 also had no candidates on the ballot as incumbent Michael Trunk did not run. James Radtke ran as an official write-in and received 59 votes.
In Cecil, Steve Bartz, Casper Wallrich and Mark Hendricks won trustee seats with 97, 87 and 83 votes respectively. Pat Westcott placed fourth with 73 votes.
Tigerton voters favored Shawn Much, Jeff Koepke, and Stephanie Dobrinska for trustee positions. They garnered 120, 105 and 81 votes, respectively. Jessica Hammons collected 77 votes in her losing bid.
In the Antigo School Board race, Mike Parizek, Daniel Nicholson and Bobbie Braun won in Shawano County, with Christina Grant, Dawn M. McCann and Jean Adams losing. Overall, it was Parizek, Nicholson and Adams claiming seats on the board.
In the Bonduel School District, Greg Borowski defeated Nina Rouse 649-596.
Representing the Stockbridge-Munsee Community in the Bowler School District will be Roberta Carrington, who defeated Chenoa Martin 250-178.
In the Clintonville School District, David Battenberg and Laurie Volrath won in Shawano County, but both lost overall. The winners were Jason L. Moder and Glen Drew Lundt.
The Clintonville school referendum requesting an additional $1.95 million in operational funds per year for five years passed in the county and overall.
In the Gillett School District, overall, challengers Nicole Blaskowski and Elizabeth Telford won with 550 and 522 votes respectively. Challenger Ben Korth garnered 474 votes, while incumbent Jamie J. Heroux picked up 434 votes.
The operational referendum seeking $2 million to $4.3 million a year over the next five years failed overall.
Representing the Town of Germania on the Tigerton School Board will be David Awe, who received five votes. Brad Breaker had four votes, while Kevin Breaker, Brian Damrau and Mark Carlson each had one.
In the one contested race for a seat on the Wittenberg-Birnamwood School Board, incumbent Laura Magee defeated challenger Bradley Wormsbacher 463-272.
In the race for a 10-year seat on the Wisconsin Supreme Court, Chris Taylor defeated Maria Lazar statewide, but Lazar won in Shawano County, 4,899-3,653. Taylor defeated Lazar in Menominee County.
