Gary M. Troutman, 67, died at McMinnville, Ore., on Aug. 29, 2013. Born Sept. 21, 1945, he was the youngest of eight children born to John and Iva (Collins) Troutman, of the town of Bagley, Troutman Road, Suring.
Gary attended Peshtigo Brook grade school in Bagley prior to moving to Oregon with his folks and two older brothers in the late 1950s.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman, loved birds and animals.
As a youngster, he had pet crows, as wall as several dogs over the years. Maggie, his last dog, was his constant companion.
He loved playing cards and watching Westerns. Mechanically inclined, he could fix engines large and small.
Gary worked for Stoller Turkey Farms for a number of years and, until the time of his death, was employed by Pokkla and Sons farms of Carlton, Ore.
Gary donated his body to science, as well as his organs for transplant.
He was preceded in death by his parents, of Lafayette, Ore.; a brother, Harry, and sister (Anna) Gail; two nephews, Tim Troutman, and Kenny Trever; brothers-in-law, R. Emerald Anderson and Gilbert McNutt, of Wisconsin.
He is survived by two brothers and their wives, Roy and Arnola, Oregon, Lyle and Nona, Colorado; three sisters, Helen Anderson, Kelly Lake, Lois Trever, Mountain, and Margie McNutt, Oconomowoc; special nieces, Lori, Donna and Lisa; as well as numerous other relatives and friends across the states.
Gary was a grandson of Will and Rhetti Collins, former residents of Lakewood.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
