Elaine E. Froemming, 86, of the Town of Belle Plaine, Shawano County, passed away Thursday morning, Aug. 21, 2014, at Greentree Health & Rehabilitation Center in Clintonville.
Elaine was born on March 3, 1928, in the town of Larrabee, Waupaca County as the daughter of the late Gustav and Selma (Watters) Wolff. She grew up in the town of Larrabee and was united in marriage to Erich Froemming on April 24, 1954, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in the town of Pella, Shawano County. The couple farmed in the town of Belle Plaine their entire married life.
Elaine was a faithful member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church Pella Opening, where she was active with the Ladies Aid for many years. She also found time to volunteer at a Lutheran thrift store in Green Bay. Elaine’s strong point was to spend time with her family. She also enjoyed gardening, canning, baking, cooking, sewing and crocheting.
Survivors include her husband, Erich; daughters, Mary Ann Wheeler, Barron, Sharon (Mike “Harpo” Harbath) Yaeger, Clintonville, Sandra Busse, Kenosha; grandchildren, Benjamin and Adam Wheeler, Barron, Ryan Yaeger and Tanya (Adam) Zuehl, all of Clintonville, and Cassandra Busse, Milwaukee; great-grandchildren, Ethan and Lillian Zuehl, Clintonville; sister, Ruth (Roger) Miller, Clintonville; brother, Donald Wolff, Tigerton; and numerous other relatives.
Elaine was preceded in death by her parents; a son-in-law, Calvin Yaeger; a sister, Helen (Harold) Mueller; a brother, Norman (Rosetta) Wolff; and a sister-in-law, Marjorie Wolff.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, Aug. 24, 2014, at 3 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Embarrass with the Rev. Todd Jerabek officiating. Interment will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery in Shawano at 10 a.m. Monday. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Saturday at the Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory in Clintonville and at the church on Sunday from 2 p.m. until the time of the service.
