Area community and business leaders gathered Feb. 26 for the Shawano Country Chamber of Commerce’s annual banquet, an extra special event this year as the chamber is celebrating its 100th anniversary.
The black-tie affair was held at the Menominee Casino Resort, where members honored top individuals and businesses for 2025.
Award winners were Wendy Crawford as distinguished citizen of the year, Stubborn Brothers Brewery as business of the year, Shawano Family Dentistry as service business of the year and Fresh Face Co. as small business of the year.
The Shawano Area Young Professionals chose and recognized the young professional of the year. The 2025 honoree was Uriah Williams, the executive director of the Shawano Area United Way.
The chamber serves as the “front door” for the entire area to attract new businesses and industry, new residents and tourists.
