Caroline A. Lisowe, 84, of Gillett, passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2022. Caroline was born on Jan. 29, 1938, to the late Jacob and Lydia (Fox) Cook in Montana. She moved to Wisconsin to be a dairy farmer. Caroline also owned a greenhouse and an upholstery shop. Before retiring, she worked as a manager in a factory. Caroline moved to Gillett in 1973 and married Donald Lisowe Sr. on Nov. 15, 1974. She was a loving mother, raising six children. Caroline enjoyed making quilts, cooking, baking sweet treats and gardening. She was proud to have large flower beds and a vegetable garden each year.
Caroline is survived by her husband, Donald Lisowe Sr.; five children, Sharon Lazic, Ed (Kim) Gable, Cindy Wians, Mona Wians and Donald (Rachel) Lisowe Jr.; 12 grandchildren, Jason Lazic, Jennifer Gable, Chuck (Precious) Gable, Beth Gable, Russ Gable Jr., Cody (Amber) Soper, Colton Wians, Andrea Wians, Morgan Lisowe, Donald Lisowe III, Jake Lisowe, Michaela Lisowe; great-grandchildren, Pam, Evalynn, Dauna, Caleb, Marie, Levi, Mitchell, Marshal, Alex, and Cheyenne; sister, Faye Mesa; sisters-in-law, Teri Cook and Betty (Carl) Miner; brother-in-law, Gary (Helen) Lisowe.
She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Russ Gable Sr.; brother, Bill Cook.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 18, 2022 at Gruetzmacher Funeral Home in Suring from 9 a.m. until the memorial service at 11 a.m. with Pastor Chris Byars officiating. Caroline will be interred in Wanderers Rest Cemetery.
