A Bowler man busted in an undercover sting over the weekend was charged Monday with three felony counts of delivery of methamphetamine.
Stuart L. Long, 27, could face 12 ½ years in prison and a $25,000 fine on each count if convicted.
Long was arrested Saturday night after a controlled drug buy with an undercover officer in the town of Bartelme on the Stockbridge-Munsee Reservation.
Stockbridge-Munsee police and Shawano County sheriff’s deputies had previously made two other drug buys from Long, according to the criminal complaint.
Last Wednesday, Long allegedly sold about half a gram of meth to an undercover officer in Shawano for $20, the complaint states.
On Friday, he allegedly sold 1.2 grams of meth to an undercover officer in the village of Wittenberg for $150, according to the complaint.
The final drug buy Saturday was arranged for $360 worth of meth, and Long allegedly asked the undercover officer to provide him with Sudafed for the manufacture of additional meth, according to the complaint.
The complaint states Long gave the officer two grams of meth, but took only the Sudafed in exchange. He allegedly told the officer he could get more meth later that night.
According to the complaint, Long tried to flee when authorities moved in after the drug buy, running into the woods. He was apprehended in the woods a short time later.
Long was also charged with misdemeanor counts of resisting an officer and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was ordered held on a $2,500 cash bond and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on Aug. 14 in Shawano-Menominee County Circuit Court.
