Bonnie Blanche Norton Ludwig, of Shawano, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away May 31, 2024, after a brief illness, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and love.
Born on Jan. 13, 1942, in Rhinelander, Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas M. Norton and Blanche Philomena (Trickey) Norton; one sister, Marion Sharka; four brothers-in-law, Albin Sharka, Burnell Schultz, James Levanetz and Morris Newman; and one grandson, Thomas LaFreniere.
Bonnie is survived by daughter, Debra L. Norton; son, Jeffery (Tracy) Robbins; son, Joseph (Tracy) LaFreniere; son, Scott (Lisa) LaFreniere; son, Jason (Molly) Norton; and daughter, Wendy (Ryan King) Norton. She is survived by three sisters, Loretta Schultz, Caroll Levanetz and Debra A. Norton.
She is also survived by her husband, Ronald F. Ludwig. They spent 32 happy years together, being parents, grandparents and great-grandparents to their large family, which included Ron’s four children, Debra (Joel) Werner, Connie (Bob) Furger, Judy (Jim) Loula, Mark (Lori) Ludwig; five step-grandchildren, Kyle Werner, Zack Furger, Kailey Furger, Sydney Loula and Logan Ludwig; as well as four step-great-grandchildren.
Bonnie is also survived by 12 grandchildren, Carissa Baeb, Andy Baeb, Paul (Michelle) Robbins, James Thomas Bowman, Eric Stevenson, Alycia (Shane) Langer, Joseph (Katherine) LaFreniere II, Genna LaFreniere, Emily LaFreniere, Brady, Abram and Elsie Norton. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren and dozens of nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Bonnie will be held on Monday, June 24, 2024, from 9-11 a.m. with a Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m., all at the Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church. The Rev. Chris Kemp will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Cemetery. A celebration of life at the Cabaret Cove in Rhinelander will immediately follow the burial.
