Bonduel, Lena, Oconto Falls notch softball wins

April 22 Bonduel 2, Amherst 1 Emery Thompson pitched a gem of a game, scattering five hits, striking out 12 and walking two as Bonduel defeated Amherst 2-1. Jayla Reinke and Tatum Sporisky each supplied RBI doubles to provide the scoring. Thompson also went 2-for-3 at the plate for the Bears. Lena/STAA 14, Wausaukee 4 Lena/St. Thomas Aquinas batters broke the game open with a seven-run third inning en route to a 14-4 triumph over Wausaukee. Adrena Rabas hit 2-for-3 with a triple and two RBIs. Hannah Thomson was 3-for-5 with a double and and RBI. Kali Fischer was 1-for-4. Rabas also had three stolen bases, and Thomson had one. Oconto Falls 7, Little Chute 3 Oconto Falls inched closer to .500 with a 7-3 nonconference win over Little Chute. The Panthers improved to 3-4 overall. Green Bay NEW Lutheran/Providence Academy 16, Bowler/Gresham 0 Bowler/Gresham couldn’t score in a 16-0 shutout loss to Green Bay NEW Lutheran/Providence Academy at Bowler. Crivitz 13, Menominee Nation 2 The Eagles dropped to 1-5 with a 1-2 nonconference loss to Crivitz. Ashwaubenon 6, Pulaski 2 Pulaski dropped to 2-5 in Fox River Classic Conference play after losing 6-2 to Ashwaubenon, which is unbeaten in conference play. The loss also put the Red Raiders below .500 overall with a 4-5 mark. Wild Rose 9, Tigerton 1 Tigerton had a lackluster performance in losing 9-1 to Wild Rose in a nonconference game. Tomahawk 8, Wittenberg-Birnamwood 6 An 8-6 nonconference loss to Tomahawk knocked Wittenberg-Birnamwood down to 8-6 overall.
