FFA members earn proficiency awards

Proficiency award results for Oconto Falls FFA members were revealed April 27 at the annual FFA banquet. This year, 21 students sent 29 proficiency applications to the state. Amber Baeten received a Gold 9 and was a Section 8 winner in agricultural processing, a Gold 3 and Section 8 winner for beef production, and Gold 7 for vegetable production; Nathan Birr received a Gold 17 for dairy production, a Gold 9 for diversified agricultural production, and a Gold 3 and Section 8 winner for forage production; Alexys Christensen received a Gold 11 in beef production; Emily Coopman received a Silver for beef production; Hannah Cunningham received a Gold 7 in wildlife production and management; Veronica Hakes received a Bronze for equine science; Connor Iverson received a Gold 2 and was a Section 8 winner for vegetable production; Ashley Keuken received a Gold 6 for equine science; Hallie Kopczynski received a Silver 8 for dairy production, a Gold 4 for food service and Silver for vegetable production; Hanna Kopczynski received a Gold 3 and was a Section 8 winner for food service; Jenna Langlay received Silver for swine production; Amber Lubenske received a Silver for sheep production; Ally Magnin received a Gold 5 for equine science and a participant for agricultural sales; Laken Patenaude received a Bronze for beef production; Forest Rohr received a Gold 7 for small animal production and care; Samantha Straley received a Silver for beef production; Jacob VerVelde received a Gold 9 for wildlife production and management; Matthew VerVelde received a Silver for poultry production; Emily Winkler received a Silver for vegetable production; and Brittany Wirtz received a Silver for beef production.
