Vouchers will be distributed in June for the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program, which offers eligible low-income seniors the opportunity to purchase fresh, locally grown fruits, vegetables and herbs from certified farmers.
The program provides $25 in vouchers per household Shawano County residents 60 and older, or Native Americans 55 and older, with a monthly household income of up to $1,800 for one person or $2,426 for two people.
A limited number of vouchers are available.
Vouchers will be distributed at the following locations:
• Maple View Apartments, 434 Main St., Birnamwood, 10:30 a.m. to noon June 3;
• Hillside Apartments, 100 N. Washington St., Bonduel, 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. June 3;
• Wittenberg Community Center, 208 W. Vinal St., Wittenberg, 10:30 a.m. to noon June 4;
• Shawano Civic Center, 225 S. Main St., Shawano, 10:30 a.m. to noon June 5;
• Tigerton Community Center, 221 Birch St., Tigerton, 10:45-11:45 a.m. June 5;
• Riverview Apartments, 124 Spaulding St., Tigerton, 11:50 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. June 5;
• Stockbridge-Munsee Elderly Center, N8651 Maplewood St., Bowler, 9-10:30 a.m. June 6;
• Towerview Apartments, 1100 Park St., Gresham, 10:30-11:30 a.m. June 11.
If you are homebound or unable to get to the site, you may send a signed statement with your authorized representative.
