Falls boys finish 16th at Oshkosh invite

A fifth-place finish in the 1,600-meter relay was the best the Oconto Falls High School track team could do Thursday at the 44th annual Oshkosh High School Invitational at the Kolf Center on the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh campus. The Panthers placed 16th out of the 26 schools at the meet. Mike Friedman, Sam Fletcher, Aaron Kurth and Luke Vrooman comprised the relay team that finished fifth, about a minute out of fourth. Friedman notched the Panthers’ first points of the meet, placing seventh in the 1,600 run (4:43.41). Fletcher also placed eighth in the 400-meter dash (55.72). Freedom won the meet.
