Dean “Scooter” Kesler, 51, Gillett, died suddenly Saturday morning, May 24, 2014, at Community Memorial Hospital. He was born May 14, 1963, in Oconto Falls to Willard and Phyllis (Schaal) Kesler.
Scooter was a well-known musician in the area. He played lead guitar with the Hickory Ridge Band.
Scooter is survived by the love of his life, Jill Topping; two sisters, Beverly (Chad) Beutler and Lynette Jaeger; niece, Krista Jaeger (Kody DeBauch); Jill’s parents, Ken and Judy Topping, and their sons, Phil and Jon.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Visitation with the urn present will be held from 4-7 p.m. Friday, May 30, 2014, at Jones Funeral Service in Oconto Falls. An “open mic” session will start around then with an opportunity to share favorite Scooter stories through words and music.
Scooter dearly loved his fiancee, Jill, his family, many friends and music.
