Cynthia L. Peterson

Cynthia Lynn Peterson, 45, of Bonduel, passed away on Monday, Oct. 28, 2013, in Appleton surrounded by her loving family. Cynthia was born in Chicago on Jan. 21, 1968, to Roy and Linda (Tucker) Peterson Jr. Cynthia took after her grandmother, Mary Tucker, becoming a fabulous cook, which earned her the family nickname “Betty Crocker”– her specialty being fry bread. She enjoyed playing bingo, shanging, fishing, watching the Packers, taking care of people and pets. She had a great love for her family. Cynthia is survived by her significant other, Frank “Joe” Smith; her parents, Linda and Roy Peterson; siblings, Roy (significant other, Mary Micik) Peterson, of Shawano, Joshua (special friend, Vanessa Casillas) Tucker, of Chicago, Terri (Darrin) Church, of Shawano, Maun-yan (Rubbin) Peterson-Sadler, of Chicago; nieces, Lauren Mendez, Aiyana Peterson, Jenelle Vargas, Felicia Sturdevant, Jennifer Peterson, Shellise Cardish, Ruby Boyd, Margie Komanekin, Naomi Smith; nephews, Jordan (Dayna Shawano) Mendez, Chachi (Cherie Hill) Mendez, Alex Rodriguez, Jonathan Sechrist, D-Shawn Peterson and Dolph Peterson Jr.; great-nieces and -nephews, Cordell, Lyneesa, Jordan Jr., Maxwell, Nikkolas, Treyvon, Roger, Kailynn, Lyneah, Marly and Liam. She is further survived by Joe’s children, Jordan, Aaron and Whitney Smith; Joe’s parents, Joseph and Dorothy Smith; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents, a very special niece, Nicole Mendez, whom she missed dearly, and numerous aunts and uncles. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013, at the St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Neopit with the Rev. David McElroy, O. Praem., officiating. Visitation will be at the Neopit Community Center on Thursday from 4 p.m. until the time of the service. A parish wake service will be held at 5:30 p.m. Friday.
