The Bonduel wrestling program inducted two more members Thursday during the high school dual meet against Rosholt.
The inductees were Dale Lintner and Ross Berkhahn.
Lintner earned the honor by being one of the Bonduel program’s best fans. An active member of the Bonduel Booster Club, Lintner helps set up and serve food at the sports banquets, as well as helping pick up products to stock the concession stands. Lintner is the first person every year to order state wrestling tickets. When he does, he adds extra money for the district’s wrestling program.
Berkhahn is a 1966 BHS graduate and a four-year wrestler under former coach Tom Flanagan. It was a struggle for Bonduel those days, often facing wrestling powers Pulaski, Bay Port and Coleman.
Berkhahn’s son, Bill, carried on the wrestling tradition with a successful BHS wrestling career. Berkhahn’s granddaughter, Alex, is a manager for this year’s team.
