Bonduel captured a pair of wins at the Chilton Invite, beating Marshall 2-1 and Howards Grove 16-1.
In the first game, Bonduel overcame striking out 19 times to pull off a 2-1 win over Marshall, currently ranked No. 9 in Division 3.
In the fifth inning, Greycen Wudtke bunted for a hit, Tatum Sporisky sacrificed her to second, and she scored on a base hit by Taylor Rank to tie the game.
In the eighth inning, the team started with a runner on second base. Allie Zernicke moved the runner to third on a sac bunt, and Tatum Sporisky drove in the run with a single. “Emery Thompson pitched a gem, holding Marshall to five hits while striking out six,” coach Mark Margelofsky said.
In the second game, the Bears scored five or more runs in all three innings of hitting to cap off the day with a 16-1 win over Howards Grove.
Kallie Wilcox picked up the win, giving up only one hit.
Jayla Reinke led the offense attack going 2-for-2 with a triple and home run. Sporisky and Marlie Hartmann added two hits apiece for the Bears.
